Data Science & AI Consulting — Providence, RI
So Gen AI is a data science consultancy that builds automated reporting systems, predictive models, and AI-powered tools for businesses in Rhode Island and New England. We replace manual processes with systems that run themselves so your team can focus on decisions, not data entry.
One senior practitioner. Fixed-scope projects with clear deliverables, delivered in weeks.
Three ways we help businesses get more from their data.
Automated pipelines that replace manual reporting cycles — consolidating data from multiple sources, applying your business logic, and delivering clean outputs on schedule. No more Monday morning fire drills.
Example: A pipeline that pulls data from three systems, generates formatted Excel reports, and delivers them to your inbox every Monday at 7 AM.
Models that forecast demand, detect anomalies, classify documents, and turn historical data into actionable predictions. Built in Python, validated against your actual data, and designed for your team to trust.
Example: A forecasting model that predicts quarterly utilization patterns with enough lead time to adjust staffing and inventory.
AI tools that help your team work faster document analysis, internal knowledge search, automated classification, and workflow automation using large language models. We build where AI makes sense and tell you when it doesn't.
Example: A tool that reads incoming PDF documents, extracts key data points, and routes them to the right person with pre-populated context.
Built for businesses drowning in data — not using it.
Business owners, operations directors, and technical leaders at companies with 10 to 2,000 employees, know their data is an asset but can't get value out of it with their current setup.
You might be running a business where analysts spend more time assembling reports than reading them. Sitting on years of data with no way to use it for forecasting. Curious about AI but unsure where it actually helps. Tired of dashboards nobody uses because the underlying data is a mess.
Industries We Work In
How Engagements Work
Every consultancy has a three-step process. Here's what we actually commit to.
01
Most engagements begin with a focused project one pipeline, one model, one automation. We deliver a working result in 2–6 weeks. If it works, we talk about what's next.
02
Every project has a defined scope, timeline, and deliverable set before we start. You get a fixed quote no hourly billing, no change order surprises.
03
The person on your first call writes your production code. No sales team, no junior analysts, no project manager buffer. You work directly with a senior data scientist.
04
Documented code, runbooks, and training. If you call us back, it should be because you want to not because you have to.
Honest Boundaries
You want a full-time employee, not a project-based consultant. We run defined projects with clear start and end dates.
You need a large team embedded for 12+ months. We’re one senior practitioner. That’s the model.
You want a strategy deck without implementation. We build working systems.
You need someone to manage your existing IT infrastructure. We build new systems and automations we're not an MSP.
Practical Details
What does a typical project cost?
Engagements start at $5,000 for focused projects — one report, one pipeline, one model. Most projects land between $10K and $50K. Complex multi-phase work can reach $150K. We provide a fixed quote after an initial scoping conversation.
How long does a project take?
Focused projects: 2–6 weeks. Standard projects: 4–12 weeks. Complex projects: 3–6 months. We scope aggressively to avoid open-ended timelines.
Do I need to know anything technical?
No. You need to know your business and your problems. We handle the technical side and explain everything in plain language.
Can you work with our existing systems?
Yes, and we prefer to. We connect to your existing databases, spreadsheets, EHRs, ERPs, CRMs, and internal tools. We don't require you to buy new software.
What about AI, should my business be using it?
Maybe. AI solves specific problems well such as document processing, classification, and text analysis. It's success is sometimes exagerated in certain areas. Part of our job is helping you figure out best use cases and creating AI systems for your business before you spend money on it.
No auto-responders. No sales funnel. If there's a fit, you'll hear from the person who would do the work within two business days.
